— AEW has made a splash with a backstage hire that some see as a significant move. Michael Mansury, who previously worked for WWE as their Vice President of Global Television Production, has joined AEW as the new Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer, effective December 2022. He was actually at the Full Gear PPV last month and officially starts at Dynamite tomorrow.
— Mansury was with WWE for over a decade starting as a Production Assistant in 2009 and moving all the way up to his executive position in 2020. During his time, he made significant contributions to WWE’s PPV, PLE and TV events and was pretty much second-in-line to Kevin Dunn on WWE’s production side with some believing that he would eventually succeed Dunn whose role is Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution. However, that never materialized when Mansury decided to leave WWE, giving his notice in May of 2020. After leaving WWE, Mansury worked as an Executive for Pat McAfee before joining ONE, a combat sports promotion based in Singapore, as a SVP.
