Enzo Amore

Former WWE Wrestler Says He Reached Out To AEW But They Had No Interest In Using Him

Real1, who was formerly Enzo Amore in WWE, recently stopped by on the podcast “No Contest Wrestling” where he spoke about his upcoming appearance for 4th Rope Wrestling in Jackson Township, New Jersey on Thursday.

Amore also revealed that he reached out to AEW about possibly coming in, likely due to his former tag team partner – Big Bill (formerly Big Cass) – working there since 2022 but that the promotion had “no interest” in bringing him in.

“AEW was something that I considered. I reached out, they had no interest. And I’m at a point where if it’s f*ck me, it’s f*ck you. What do I care? What are you…going to cancel me? What do I care? I have nothing to lose, bro. I’ve already lost everything. I’ve been dragged through the mud. And when you treat them like dirt, they stick like mud, bro. I don’t care, if you treat me a certain way, I’ll treat you the same way back. I don’t have any gripe with the business because I’m in such a good place.”

As indicated, Enzo will be competing for 4th Rope Wrestling – a promotion run by rapper Westside Gunn – where he is the current Flyweight champion. He will defend his title on Thursday at Six Flags Great Adventure against veteran wrestler Gangrel.
