FOX had a “summit meeting” on July 17 to discuss with their affiliate stations about the fall schedule, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
It was noted that SmackDown Live would be airing 51 weeks a year on FOX with the only preemption happening for the World Series, though it’s possible the show may move to FS 1 for that week.
FOX also is planning a one-hour launch show towards the end of September to build up to the official 10/4 debut and as a way to introduce the company and the talent to the FOX audience.
Finally, another idea that the network has in store is for WWE wrestlers to take a moving truck to markets of all sizes to promote the company’s move to FOX.
