Freddie Prinze Jr. Says There Has Been A Disconnect With Darby Allin

Former WWE creative team writer Freddie Prinze Jr. recently took to an episode of his “Wrestling with Freddie” podcast from iHeart Media’s My Cultura Network and spoke about a number of topics, including how Darby Allin’s in-ring promos doesn’t match his look as well as his wrestling style and how that’s been a disconnect in his character.

Freddie Prinze Jr. also spoke about how Jay Lethal is money on the mic and in the ring and giving him a manager doesn’t make sense to him.

Freddie Prinze Jr. said:

“I have never talked about this wrestler on the podcast, which is Darby Allin.” “He’s got like a cool look. The promos, to me, don’t match the look and don’t match the wrestling style. So, that’s always been a disconnect for me.”

“I don’t know what they’re doing with this guy ’cause he’s money on the microphone, so they gave him a manager.” “Doesn’t make sense to me. He’s money in the ring, so he never wrestles in like a legit match, although this was legit ’cause Darby is one of the guys they’ve been building on.”
