— Friday’s episode of WWE Smackdown, which took place only a day after the promotion’s latest PPV Crown Jewel, was up in overnight viewership figures released on Monday, drawing an audience of 2.249 million, up from 2.147 million two weeks ago. Last week’s episode aired on cable (FS 1) and so it wouldn’t make sense to compare those two shows. In the 18-49 demographic, Smackdown earned a 0.58 rating to lead all broadcast networks, up a healthy 12% week-over-week.
— AEW Rampage meanwhile fell to 533,000 viewers – the second lowest in the short history of the show – and a 0.22 rating in P18-49 to finish #9 on cable. This compares to 578,000 viewers and a 0.24 rating last week.
— Competition on the night was strong with an MLB playoff game leading the way with 5.8 million viewers and a 1.29 rating while there were also a couple of NBA games that aired against both Smackdown and Rampage that finished #2 and #3 on the cable charts.
