Friday Night SmackDown Quick Recap for October 21, 2022
Matches Tonight: Four (approx. 42 minutes)
- Singles Match: Sheamus w/ the Brawling Brutes vs Solo Sikoa w/ the Bloodline. Sikoa picked up the win; the Bloodline beat down Sheamus four-on-one brutally after the match. 8:05-8:18pm EST.
- Singles Match: Liv Morgan vs Sonya Deville. Morgan beat Deville outside causing the double count-out. Afterwards she continued to beat Deville and used a Superplex onto a pile of steel chairs to elicit an unedited-by-Fox “holy shit” chant after the match. 8:37-8:46pm EST.
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Damage CTRL(c) vs Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi. Decent match with a better finish that saw Damage CTRL retain. 9:11-9:21pm EST.
- Singles Main Event Match: Rey Mysterio vs Ludwig Kaiser w/ Imperium. Rey picked up the win. 9:35-9:45pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
- Bray Wyatt: Another cryptic speech about how he didn’t want to come back but the fans drug him back, and he’s grateful they did, then hint at evil inside.
- Face-to-Face Confrontation: Braun Strowman and Omos w/ MVP. Long story short, Braun Strowman challenged Omos to a match at Crown Jewel, which Omos accepted. 8:55-9:01pm EST.
- Logan Paul: Waste of four minutes as Paul promised to prove everyone wrong, as he always has. Jey Uso attacked Paul but Paul was the one left standing when all was said and done, and we ended our program a few minutes early. 9:52-9:56pm EST.
- Tomorrow Night: NXT proudly presents Halloween Havoc on the Peacock Network!
- Next Week on SmackDown on FS1: SmackDown will air on FS1! Hit Row and a mystery partner take on Legado Del Fantasma in six-man action. Roman Reigns returns to SmackDown. The Brawling Brutes vs Sami Zayn & Solo Sikoa.
