Although he recently joined his FTR tag-team partner Cash Wheeler in leaving WWE after an ugly lengthy negotiation period and legal battle before debuting in All Elite Wrestling, Dax Harwood does not encourage pro wrestling fans to “bury one company over the other.”
In addition to AEW CEO & President Tony Khan, the FTR member took to social media on Thursday to address the negative reaction from fans who are being overly negative when writing about WWE’s NXT Great American Bash out-drawing AEW’s Fyter Fest in overall viewership for their two-hour head-to-head ratings battle in this week’s “Wednesday Night Wars.”
“Guys, if you’re burying one company over the other, you’re completely missing the fun,” wrote Harwood via his official Twitter feed on Thursday evening, before sharing a personal story about his viewing habits during the Monday Night Wars between WWE Monday Night RAW and WCW Monday Nitro in the late 1990s and into the early-2000s.
“I watched both shows from last night and we are lucky, as fans, to get the wrestling we get,” he continued. “In 1997 I LOVED The Hart Foundation and I LOVED the NWO.”
Harwood’s tweet concluded, “I hope you guys can do the same.”
