Gerald Brisco Also Released By WWE

One of the best talent scouts in WWE history and a familiar face to Attitude Era fans as one of the “Stooges,” Gerald Brisco, has been released by World Wrestling Entertainment following the company’s massive talent and employee cuts this month.

Brisco, who has been with WWE since the 80s in a career that spans over 35 years was named today by as the latest name to be released by the company as it continues to slash costs.

Brisco, 73, joined WWE in 1984 and has worked in the office with Vince McMaho as one of his senior and most trusted advisors.

He was also a television character during the Attitude Era and later became the company’s top talent scout, through his connections in the amateur wrestling world as a former Oklahoma State wrestler.

Brisco is largely credited with signing Brock Lesnar to a contract with WWE.
