Goldberg Signs New WWE Deal, Will Work Royal Rumble PPV In January

Spparently last night wasn’t a “one and done” situation for Bill Goldberg after all.

Following his first taste of WWE in-ring action at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday night, where Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar in his first match in over 12 years, the wrestling legend has signed a new deal with WWE to wrestle at the Royal Rumble event in January.

James McKenna of ProWrestlingSheet.com was first to report the news that Goldberg had signed on to work the Rumble PPV, which is scheduled to take place at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, January 29th.

As things stand, Goldberg is tentatively scheduled to participate in the actual 30-man over the top Royal Rumble match at the pay-per-view. Whether or not Goldberg will be sticking around to work the WrestleMania 33 show in March as well remains to be seen.
