It looks like The Hardy Boyz will no longer be the owners of the blue brand’s highest prize for an active tag-team.
As advertised, Matt Hardy addressed “rumors” in a segment with brother Jeff Hardy on Tuesday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio.
In a heavily built-up segment, The Hardy Boyz came to the ring and ultimately announced that they are surrendering the SmackDown Tag-Team Championships due to Jeff Hardy suffering an injury at the hands of Lars Sullivan.
Jeff noted that he is unable to walk on his own and has been getting around via the assistance of crutches.
