A new championship belt has touched down in All Elite Wrestling.
As advertised, AEW celebrated the one-year milestone of the ongoing AEW Women’s World Championship reign of current title-holder Hikaru Shida on this week’s Dynamite.
During the special Friday Night Dynamite go-home show for this Sunday’s Double Or Nothing 2021 pay-per-view, Shida was presented with a brand new AEW Women’s World Championship title belt, with it replacing the title as the new, official belt for the women’s division in AEW going forward.
The first match to feature the new AEW Women’s World Championship title belt on-the-line will take place this Sunday at AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 at Daily’s Place amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida, when Shida defends against the number one ranked contender in the division, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
