WWE has been strategically planning a significant heel turn and a notable return to revolve around WarGames at this year’s WWE Survivor Series 2023 premium live event.
According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has been laying the groundwork for months to reintroduce the team versus team WarGames format at the November PLE scheduled for 11/25 in Rosemont, Ill.
For an extended period, WWE has envisioned Drew McIntyre becoming a part of the heel team, aligning with Judgment Day members and forming a formidable five-man heel squad.
To balance the equation on the babyface side, WWE is planning the return of Randy Orton. The plan is for him to make his comeback on the day before the show, or possibly earlier, to avoid any potential confusion with rumors circulating about CM Punk returning, especially given that the show is in his hometown.
