WWE ran an angle during the WrestleMania 41 pre-show where Bayley was attacked and taken out of the scheduled WWE Women’s Tag Team title match. It was then stated on air that Lyra Valkyria is going to have to find a new partner to go up against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Bayley is not injured in any way and the creative plan has always been to run this storyline to write her out with an angle. PWInsider.com reports that backstage there has been sympathy among other wrestlers for Bayley when word began to trickle in that she was going to be removed from the match as she’s a well respected veteran in the women’s locker room.
While nothing is confirmed, the creative plan sets the plan in motion for Valkyria to have a new partner and the returning Becky Lynch is of course the odds-on-favorite to be that person.
