IMPACT and NJPW held their Multiverse United: Only The STRONG Survive PPV Event on Thursday, March 30 from inside the Globe Theater in Los Angeles, California during WrestleMania Weekend, with “The Ace Of NJPW” Hiroshi Tanahashi taking on “Speedball” Mike Bailey in the main event. Other top matches on the show includes IMPACT World Tag Team Champions ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey) defending their titles in a 4-Way Match against TMDK, The Motor City Machine Guns and the current IWGP Tag Team and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions Aussie Open and NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion KENTA putting his title on the line against Minoru Suzuki.
It has only been a number of weeks removed from the Multiverse United: Only The STRONG Survive Event, but IMPACT Wrestling and NJPW have already announced their second Multiverse United PPV called Multiverse United 2: For Whom The Bell Tolls and that event will take place on Sunday, August 20 from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of this writing, no matchups have been announced for the event, but Multiverse United 2 is set to air live on FITE TV and ticket details will be announced soon.
