Fightfulselect.com reports that IMPACT shied away from Albany and the 10/8 date because WWE is running Extreme Rules on that date and they didn’t want to go directly head-to-head against it.

— As a result, IMPACT shifted their PPV to a Friday night for the first time in the event’s history but couldn’t secure the necessary date and venue needed in Danbury to make that happen. As a result, IMPACT made the decision to move the location two hours north to Albany despite telling talent months ago that Bound for Glory would be in Danbury.
