IMPACT Wrestling On AXS TV Recap (05/25): Chris Bey vs. John Skyler

IMPACT Wrestling recently held the latest episode of their flagship show, where the show’s main event saw IMPACT World Tag Team Champion Chris Bey take on John Skyler in Singles action and the main event segment saw an in-ring segment between IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin and his challenger for this weekend’s Under Siege PPV Event, PCO.

– Sami Callihan def. Shogun in a Before The IMPACT Match.

– Chris Sabin def. “Speedball” Mike Bailey in a Singles Match.

– A video package is then shown of how Trinity has rocked the wrestling world to its core since making her arrival in IMPACT Wrestling and how this Friday at Under Siege, she will make her IMPACT Plus debut as she battles Gisele Shaw in Knockouts Division Singles action.

– IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin then declares that PCO will be unable to compete at Under Siege and that he will name PCO’s replacement later tonight.

– Kenny King and Sheldon Jean def. Decay (Black Taurus and Crazzy Steve) in a Tag Team Match. After the match, Kenny King gets on the mic and sends a message to Nick Aldis. Moments later, Nick Aldis fires back and takes out Sheldon Jean at ringside. Kenny King then dares Nick Aldis to meet him in the ring, but retreats at the last moment.

– It is then shown that the hourglass has nearly run out as Jessicka continues to wait for Rosemary’s return from the Undead Realm.

– IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Taylor Wilde def. Jessicka in a Knockouts Division Singles Match. After the match, The Coven continue the assault on Jessicka until someone emerges from the Undead Realm and it’s Courtney Rush. Courtney Rush clears the ring of The Coven and stands tall with Jessicka.

– We then head backstage, where Courtney Rush explains to Jessicka that she’s not supposed to be here but since she is, she is down to go on an adventure. Jessicka then asks Courtney Rush if she wants to be a Death Doll and Rush accepts.

– Rich Swann def. Angels in a Singles Match. After the match, The Design jump Rich Swann from behind. Sami Callihan then attempts to make the save with his baseball bat, but also falls victim to the numbers game. Angels then makes Swann watch as Deaner lays out Callihan with the bat.

– Alisha Edwards then interrupts Gia Miller’s interview with IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo and tells Purrazzo that soon she will see Jordynne Grace’s true colors.

– A wild brawl has then erupted in the backstage area as Masha Slamovich puts Killer Kelly to sleep.

– Jordynne Grace def. Alisha Edwards in a Knockouts Division Singles Match.

– A video package is then shown of Moose, Yuya Uemura, Jonathan Gresham, Frankie Kazarian, Alex Shelley and Eddie Edwards for the #1 Contenders Match at Under Siege.

– IMPACT World Tag Team Champion Chris Bey def. John Skyler in a Singles Match.

– IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin then makes his way down to the ring and declares that the match against PCO at Under Siege is not happening because he “killed” PCO, but he will defend his title against an opponent of his choosing – Champagne Singh. Singh and Shera then join Maclin in the ring when IMPACT President Scott D’Amore interrupts. D’Amore then overturns Maclin’s decision to have Singh challenge for his title. D’Amore then says that he is happy to have Maclin as the IMPACT World Champion as long as he is a fighting champion. D’Amore then tries to strike a deal with Maclin, promising that if Maclin beats his opponent at Under Siege, he will personally hand him the IMPACT World Title like he said he would at Rebellion. Maclin then ups the ante and D’Amore agrees to the terms if Maclin wins at Under Siege, D’Amore will put the title around his waist. D’Amore then reveals that PCO will still be Maclin’s opponent as the lights go out and Perfect Creation One appears in the ring. PCO then takes out Singh and Shera as Maclin retreats up the ramp. PCO then stands tall with the World Title as IMPACT Wrestling goes off the air.
