IMPACT Wrestling Results – (03/09/21)
Show Opening
As the March 9, 2021 edition of IMPACT Wrestling kicks off at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern TIme), we enter Skyway Studios Arena in Nashville, Tennessee as we are welcomed by tonight’s commentary team of D’Lo Brown and Matt Striker who are sitting at the announcer’s table to have an up-close and personal seat for tonight’s action. After a quick run down of the matches already advertised for this evening’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling, we officially start tonight’s action packed show!
We are reminded that this is the final episode on the road to Sacrifice 2021 pay-per-view this weekend! We head to the ring as the first match-up of the evening is ready to get underway.
Jazz (w/ Jordynne Grace) vs. Tasha Steelz (w/ Kiera Hogan
As we head to the ring inside the Skyway Studios arena in Nashville, Tennessee, out first comes Tasha Steelz accompanied by Kiera Hogan as the two make their way to the ring for Steelz match up tonight! Out next is Jazz who is accompanied by Jordynne Grace as her entrance theme plays her to the ring. With both opponents inside the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the first match-up of the evening is officially underway! To start off the action, Jazz and Steelz immediately lock up inside the ring. Steelz is able to break free and proceeds to roll out to ringside to reassess the situation and return to the match.
As Steelz returns to the ring, she heads in and immediately takes down Jazz, for a pop from the crowd. Steelz follows up with a Side Headlock to remain in control, only to have Jazz find her way out with a Head Scissors on Steelz as she reverses to a Side Headlock of her own! At this point Jazz attempts to go ahead and get the submission on Steelz to no avail. Steelz breaks free and regains control of the match as she hits multiple running moves on Jazz who is in the corner of the ring leaning on the turnbuckles. Steelz then hits a Neck Breaker on Jazz for the cover.
Jazz kicks out at two and the match continues. Next we see Steelz grab a hold on Jazz as she attempts to lock in a Rear Chin Lock. Jazz breaks free and Steelz runs full force towards Jazz who is able to side step just in time for Steelz to run directly into the ring post! This gives Jazz the opportunity to quickly turn things around with a pin-fall attempt of her own, but Steelz is able to kick out! Steelz back to her feet as she gets Jazz with a Falcon Arrow for a cover of her own! Jazz able to kick out once again.
As Jazz gets back to her feet, she then heads right back in for a Samoan Drop, immediately following up with a cover to try and end things in this match up, Steelz kicks out at the two count! Steelz gets to her feet and quickly hits a Code Breaker which is then countered with a Sit-Out Powerslam by Jazz who once again attempts to get the cover for the two count again! At this point, we see Jordynne at ringside as she takes out Kiera, causing a distraction as Steelz breaks her focus and Jazz quickly locks in the STF, forcing Steelz to tap!
Winner: Jazz
After the Match
Jazz celebrates her victory with Jordynne as we head into replays from the match!

Backstage

We head back to the ring for the next match up of the evening as we get the entrances for Rohit Raju and Shera as the first team in tonight’s next match-up. We also get the entrances for James Storm and his partner Chris Sabin. With all the competitors in the ring, we see James Storm attempting to get under Shera’s skin before the start of the match. The referee signals for the bell and the match is officially underway! To start things off, Rohit Raju is in for his team and Chris Sabin is in for his as the match-up begins!
Raju and Sabin start things off by running the ropes, Sabin then drops Raju for an early pin-fall attempt. Raju kicks out. As Raju heads in to the center of the ring, Sabin immediately lands multiple Knife Edge Chops on Raju. Though not very intricate, but still effective, Raju trips Sabin who falls to the canvas, allowing Raju to attempt a follow up move, but Sabin counters with a Suplex. Raju kicks out at the two! Sabin makes his way to his corner where he tags in James Storm. Sabin hits a Snapmare on Raju and attempts to roll him up.
Next we see Raju make his way to the corner where he lands the tag to Shera. Shera and Storm then exchange strikes to start things off. Shera ends up in the corner of the ring as Storm continues to lands multiple blows until finally Shera counters with a Big Boot to Storm. Shera makes his way out of the corner just as Storm makes the tag to Sabin. Sabin re-enters the ring as we once again head to commercial break!
As we return from the commercial break, commentary notes that Shera has maintained control for the most part throughout the break. Now Shera still in control until finally Sabin makes the tag to Storm. Storm comes in hot as he immediately takes down Shera, then knocks Rohit off the apron taking him down as well. Storm quickly follows up by landing a Spine Buster on Raju for the cover. Raju kicks out and the match continues. Sabin then lands a Tornado DDT for the cover, and a kick out at the two! Next we see Shera and Rohit begin to argue over who gets the finish. Sabin makes the decision in their argument by landing a Missile Dropkick from the top rope, taking out Shera on the outside of the ring.
Finally, with Storm back to his feet, he and Sabin hits Raju with a Lungblower/Cradle Shock combination. Sabin gets the cover and the three count pin and win!

Backstage
We head to a different area backstage as Storm and Sabin run into Young and Doering as they release Deaner (who was trapped in a room by Eric Young and Joe Doering last week). Storm and Sabin attempt to confront them on their treatment of Deaner but are then attacked by the trio as we head to commercial break.
Scott D’Amore’s Office
As we return from commercial break, we are in Scott D’Amore’s office. Myers asks D’amore if he received his lawyers’ letter of terminating Eddie Edwards. D’Amore says he has, and he’s happy to go to court if need be. D’Amore then informs Myers he has a better idea, which is that at this weekend’s Sacrifice, there will be an extreme rules match between Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards!
Sam Beale (w/ Sami Callihan) vs. Trey Miguel
We head back to the inside of the arena for the next match-up of the evening. Sami Callihan makes his way out to the ring first where he proudly announces his “new prodigy”, Sam Beale. He’s excited to show Miguel what Beale has learned from him. The bell rings and the match begins. To start things off, Beale immediately attacks Miguel from behind before Miguel responds with a Dropkick, then proceeds to lock in a figure four, which forces Beale to tap in just seconds to end the match.
Winner: Trey Miguel
After the Match
Sami Callihan then teleports to the ring and Piledrives Sam before disappearing as Trey looks on in horror unable to stop him.
Backstage

Contract Signing – IMPACT World Tag-Team Championship Match At Sacrifice
Next we immediately head into the contract signing for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship match set to take place at this Saturday, March 13th’s IMPACT Wrestling pay-per-view, Sacrifice 2021. The match will take place between the current reigning champions, The Good Brothers, and their challengers, FinJuice. In Good Brothers fashion, Karl Anderson pours everyone a drink. Scott D’ Amore just stands aside and allows it. Shot after shot, all four have signed the contract and at this point are probably a little bit wasted. Out of nowhere, FinJuice threw their third shot of whisky toward The Good Brothers, hitting them right in the face. On that note, the four begin to brawl, who saw that coming? Karl and Doc’s faces and the four brawl.
Chris Bey vs. Ace Austin (w/ Madman Fulton)
With the contract signing out of the way, we head to the ring for the next match up of the evening. We get the entrance for Chris Bey as well as Ace Austin who is accompanied by Madman Fulton. With both competitors inside the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and our next match of the evening is officially underway! To start things off in this match up, Austin immediately backs Bey into the corner of the ring by force. Bey counters with a Kick, sending Austin into the center of the ring where Austin proceeds to hit a Code Red for the cover.
Austin kicks out at the two and is back to his feet. Austin then hits a Springboard Corkscrew Senton for a near-fall of his own, Bey kicking out at the two as well. Both men back to their feet, Austin looks for The Fold, Bey is able to evade and follows up with a Back Elbow followed by an Enzuguri on Austin. Bey makes his way to the the top turnbuckle where Austin meets him with a Strike that plants Bey momentarily. Bey then counters Austin’s Superplex attempt. Both men fall back to ringside as we head to commercial break!
As we return from the commercial break we are informed that Chris Bey has maintained control with both men back inside the ring at this point. Austin then lands a Drop Toe Hold that leads into a Spinning Diving Leg Drop for the cover on Bey. Bey kicks out at the two, continuing the match and hitting a Vertibreaker on Austin for a near-fall of his own. At this point we see Ace Austin as he rolls out of the ring under the bottom rope to get a breather. Madman Fulton blocks Bey from attacking Austin at ringside.
While Bey struggles to get past Madman Fulton, Austin quickly takes advantage of the distraction as he lands a Kick to the face of Bey. At this point, TJP makes his way out to watch the match-up. Madman Fulton doesn’t seem to approve of this as he immediately rushes at TJP on the ramp. TJP quickly exits to the backstage area. Finally, Bey ends things with his Art of Finesse on Austin for the cover. Bey gets the three count pin and win!
Winner: Chris Bey
Swinger’s Palace
Next we head over to Swinger’s Place where TJP and Josh Alexander are having a discussion. Alexander notes that he’ll be paying close attention to TJP and Ace Austin’s X-Division match this Saturday at the pay-per-view. With that we head to commercial break.
Backstage

ODB vs Susan
We head back to the ring for the next match up of the evening. After entrances from ODB and Susan, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match begins. ODB has control to start things off, as she continuously strikes and man-handles Susan at the beginning of the match. ODB then hits a Running Splash as Susan is in the corner of the ring, causing Susan to fall to the canvas. ODB follows up with a Bronco Buster and then hits a Fall Away Slam that sends Susan to ringside as we head to our commercial break!
As we return from the commercial break, we see Susan temporarily gain control in the match as she lands a heavy Forearm on ODB. Then another! ODB has had enough, and quickly knocks Susan to the canvas with her Dirty Dozen move. ODB follows up with a cover to finish the match off. Surprisingly, Susan is able to kick out of the rollup at two. With both women back to their feet, Susan quickly locks in a Full Nelson on ODB, as ODB struggles to break free, Susan switches into a Blood Choke. Susan makes her way to ODB’s corner and proceeds to pour out all of ODB’s liquor from her flask. Wrong move. ODB, doesn’t take the “alcohol abuse” lightly as she responds by dropping Susan with her Bam finisher for the cover. ODB gets the three count pin and win!
Winner: ODB
