IMPACT Wrestling – (March 30th, 2021)
Show Opening
We enter the Skyway Studios arena in Nashville, Tennessee for the Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 edition of IMPACT Wrestling that continues to bring the action! We start tonight off with an official “welcome” from the IMPACT commentary team of D-Lo Brown and Matt Striker as they sit at the announcer’s table! We are informed that Rohit Raju and Hernandez defeated Fallah Bahh and Shera on “Before The Impact”. We head to the ring for the first match up!
Fire N’ Flava vs Havok & Nevaeh
As we head to the ring for the next match up of the evening, we get the entrance for Havok and Nevaeh as well as Fire N’ Flava. With both teams in the ring the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match is officially underway! To start off the action Havok looks for the offense as she shoves Kiera followed by a Back Breaker that leads into a Lariat by Havok. Next Havok continues as she tosses Kiera into her corner and as she makes the tag to Nevaeh.
Havok continues to stay in the ring with Nevaeh as they land some double team action on Kiera for the cover by Nevaeh. Kiera is able to kick out at the two. About this time we see Kiera take control as Fire N’ Flava get the upper hand on Havok and Nevaeh momentarily. They continue to isolate Havok until she gets the tag to Nevaeh. Nevaeh comes in hot with a Clotheslines to Tasha. Then another, and another. Next we see Nevaeh land a German Suplex followed by Havok hitting a Sit-Out Powerbomb of her own for the cover. Another kick out.
Finally we see Tasha reach in and get the tag to Kiera where we see everyone hit their finisher until finally Fire N’ Flava end things with some double team action on Havok for cover. Getting the three count pin and the win.
Winner: Fire N’ Flava
After the Match
Immediately following the match we see Fire N Flava celebrating inside the ring. We see Havok backstage talking to her partner and seeming upset about their loss just now. As Havok turns to exit, we see Nevaeh strike Havok from behind as she hits a Spear followed by multiple punches to Havok. As Nevaeh delivers a DDT to Havok, she shouts, “Your the weak link!” at Havok.
Backstage – James Storm
Next we head backstage where we see James Storm discussing tonight’s 1,000 match in Impact. Storm begins by stating that as much as this should be a night for celebration, it’s honestly more of a dedication because he wasn’t even really supposed to have this match. Storm then continues on to discuss how he got help in the early days of his career from Bob Ryder. He adds that he always pushed Storm and Chris Harris to get more work.
Storm then switches topics as he turns to the camera and states to Eric Young that he’s going to come out there and beat him up. He then adds that he’ll have some friends of his own out there. At this point Chris Sabin informs Storm that he’s got a little surprise for him, for tonight’s match. Just then we see that Chris Harris shows up. Storm looks to Harris and says “it’s been a long time” which leads to a hug before the two walk off together.
Backstage Interview – Deonna Purrazzo
Next we head backstage where an interview begins with Deonna Purrazzo and Susan. Just as things get started, Jazz shows up to attack both Purrazzo and Susan out of nowhere cutting things short!
Sami Callihan vs Larry D (w/ Acey Romero)
We return to the ring for the next match-up as we get entrances from Sami Callihan as well as Larry D who is accompanied by Acey Romero. The referee stands in the center of the ring and signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match is officially underway. To start the action we see Callihan head in towards Larry D as he delivers a Knee to the ribs of Larry D followed by a Clothesline that knocks him off the apron.
Larry D is at ringside as Callihan looks for a Suicide Dive off the apron. Larry D catches Callihan and then proceeds to Drive Callihan into the apron at ringside. Larry D follows up with a Back Drop to Callihan that lands him on the edge of the apron as we head to commercial break!
As we return from the commercial break we see that Larry D has continued to maintain control in the match-up. More back and forth action follows until Callihan retaliates with a DVD for the cover. Larry D kicks out at the two and the match continues on. The match makes it’s way to the outside of the ropes on the apron as they two strike back and forth, Callihan landing Larry D in the ropes. As Larry D is trapped in the ropes, Callihan gets the Draping Piledriver that takes Larry D down to the canvas.
Callihan immediately follows up with a cover for the three count pin and win!
Winner: Sami Callihan
After the Match
Immediately following Callihan’s victory, we see Acey Romero attack Callihan, cutting his victory celebration short. Sami Callihan is left laying in the center of the ring. We then see Romero exit with Larry D.
Video Package – FinJuice In New Japan
We head into a video package that highlights the action of FinJuice in New Japan!
Locker Room
Next we head to the locker room where we see AEW Champion Kenny Omega as well as Don Callis, and Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows of The Good Brothers as they’re all in the locker room. We then see Anderson and Gallows exit the locker room. Don Callis whispers something to Omega as we head to commercial break once again.
Backstage – Sami Callihan
Sami Callihan meets with Trey backstage before Sami tells Trey that he needs to take his anger and use it before offering to mentor Trey. Callihan then tells Trey to think about it for a week and then give him his answer before leaving.
Brian Myers vs Suicide
As we head to the ring for the next match up of the evening for the Tuesday, March 30th edition of IMPACT Wrestling, we get the entrances for Brian Myers as well as Suicide. The referee stands in the center of the ring and signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match is officially underway. To start off the action we see Myers take down Suicide with a Shoulder Block. We then see Suicide retaliate as he lands Head Scissors that leads into an Octopus Stretch.
Next we see Myers land another take down on Suicide where he quickly follows up by locking in a Rear Chin Lock. Suicide struggles momentarily but eventually he makes a come back with a Shotgun Dropkick. We then watch as Myers counters with a Flat Liner on Suicide followed by a Roster Cut for the pin on Suicide as Myers gets the three count pin and win!
Winner: Brian Myers
After the Match
Immediately following the match we watch as Brian Myers officially answers Matt Cardona’s challenge to a match at Hardcore Justice with a rejection.
Backstage – Jazz
Next we head backstage where we see Jazz meeting with Tommy Dreamer as she’s looking for Deonna. Dreamer proceeds to make a Double Jeopardy match between her and Deonna. If Jazz win, she’s get a title, but if she loses, she has to give up something. Jazz says the way she’s feeling she’d willing to put her career on the line, with that’ we head to commercial break!
Paid Advertisement – Two Tony’s
In this week’s paid advertisement, we see both Tony Schiavone and AEW’s Tony Khan discuss the Wednesday, March 31, 2021 edition of All Elite Wrestling’s Dynamite show. Khan then quickly runs down tomorrow’s card. After that Khan then lets everyone know that he owns booking right to Omega. Finally Tony Schiavone takes over and finishes up with announcing the other matches fans will see.
Swinger’s Casino
We head over to Swinger’s Casino as we come up to John E. Bravo and Johnny Swinger who are figuring how much money was earned this week at the casino. They note it has been “a whole lot”.
At this point AEW Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis enter the casino. To start off the conversation, Callis states that he heard they are taking bets on Omega vs. Rich Swann for the match at Rebellion coming up. This catches the attention of Swinger as he states that the odds are close. He then adds that the odd are basically 1:1. Callis shares a “One Winged Angel Collection” in the hopes of getting the odds to swing in Omega’s favor. Callis finishes his business as he states they’re putting $20,000 on Omega winning. At that point, they head off.
Ace Austin & Madman Fulton vs. TJP & Josh Alexander
We get the entrances for Madman Fulton and Ace Austin as well as TJP and Josh Alexander. With both teams in the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings and the next match up is officially underway! To start the action, we see Alexander head in at Fulton to land a Body Lock followed by Fulton tossing Alexander nearly across the ring! At this point Fulton makes the tag to Austin, but Austin quickly tags Fulton right back in. Side Headlock by Alexander, belly-to-back suplex, but Alexander hangs on.
He beats up Fulton a bit more, then throws him over to Austin for the tag. Austin gets in there for a moment, but looks to tag out. Alexander catches him and throws him down to the mat. Next we watch as Fulton enters the match illegally as TJP leaps off the top rope and lands a Crossbody only to get caught midair. We watch as Alexander trips Fulton up. TJP and Alexander drop Austin, then continue arguing with each other. At this point we watch as TJP goes to his corner, then tags himself in.
This leads to a Powerslam on Austin followed by a Slingshot Senton. Next we see Austin catch TJP in the corner of the ring as he proceeds to kick him in the face. Fulton tags in and is able to choke TJP while standing on the second turnbuckle. TJP is able to eventually find a window to tag in Alexander. Fulton gets in there and eats a couple forearms, spinning elbow, suplex, looks for to plant Fulton and takes a backdrop and then a big boot. Alexander with a foot wash on Austin in the corner.
Alexander and TJP working over Fulton, then send him out to the floor. Alexander with Austin in the ring, Austin plants him to the mat. Alexander is back up, pops Austin the face, sends him to the mat. TJP with a mamba splash, goes for the cover, Josh shoves him off. TJP then shoves him as they argue over who’s the legal man. Austin with the sneaky roll-up on TJP for the win.
Winners: Ace Austin and Madman Fulton
Backstage – Don Callis
We head backstage where Callis talks with Willie Mack, says he has big plans for Mack. Callis then shows him Omega’s one winged angel compilation because he knows Mack is friends with Rich Swann. Swann walks in and Callis talks a little trash about Omega kicking out of Swann’s finisher. Callis says he’s in Swann’s head, and Rich says he’s not. Swann says he has the heart and determination to beat Omega.
Rich says if Callis wasn’t his boss, he’d smack his sunglasses off. Callis says he’s going to do Swann a favor and say for the next ten minutes he’s not going to be his boss. Callis takes his shades and other gear off. They go to brawl, but The Good Brothers and Omega show up. Big brawl ensues, Eddie Edwards runs in to help out and chase Callis and company away.
Backstage – Rohit Raju
We head backstage where Rohit Raju bumps into Hernandez with a possible tag name ILX (Indian Latin Exchange). Hernandez says they aren’t a team, he just gets paid to help. Hernandez says Rohit doesn’t have any money for him? Then bounce!
Backstage – Eric Young
Next we head to a different area backstage where Eric Young talks about James Storm having 1,000 matches in Impact. He then notes that he’s the one who challenged Young. Young talks about violence being the way, it’s what brought in Rhyno. Young says the future of the company hangs in the balance tonight and this world doesn’t belong to Storm, it belong to him and his group. With that, he walks away.
Backstage – Tommy Dreamer
We see Tommy Dreamer as he talks with a group of wrestlers about Hardcore Justice, including Deonna vs. Jazz. Deonna says it will just be another legend that she’s going to lay waste to. Tommy then asks Susan if he could talk about her friend, Sue. Susan doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Tommy then announce multi-women’s knockout scramble match. Winner faces the champion at Rebellion. He says all weapons will be legal. It will feature Jordynne Grace, Susan, Tenille Dashwood, Havok, Rosemary, and Alisha Edwards.
Quick Announcement
We are informed that next week will consist of: Impact World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Eddie Edwards vs. AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers.
Eric Young (w/ Rhyno), Deaner, & Joe Doering vs. James Storm (w/ Chris Sabin), Chris Harris, & Jake Something
It is officially announced that tonight, Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 is James Storm’s 1,000th match in Impact Wrestling. With all the men in place, the referee stands in the center of the ring and signals for the bell. The bell rings and the match up is officially underway! The match starts out with Storm getting an early take down on Young followed by a Knee Drop then a Leg Drop that leads into a cover. A kick out at the two, the match continues. Storm with a hard elbow to Young’s back. Young gets back at Storm by sending him into the ring post and down to the floor with all the other wrestlers standing nearby.
As the match makes it’s way back into the ring, Young goes for a cover, two. He hits a Twisting Neck-breaker, another cover, two. It is obvious that Young is super annoyed at this point. Next we watch as Storm is sent into the corner, then he hits Young with a Back Elbow. After that Storm heads up to the second rope and looks for a Swinging DDT. As Storm tries, Young counters into an overhead release suplex into the corner. At this point Storm grabs the rope. Storm gets back into the match with a flurry of strikes, goes for the cover, two. Eye of the storm, Young gets out of it. Young dodges a big kick, eye of the storm then hits Young, cover, two. Storm charges in as he immediately gets a boot to the face. Next we see a Neck-breaker.
This leads to Young with a Big Elbow Drop off the top rope that leads into a cover. A kick out at two! The match continues as Young yells and stares at the referee. Young lands a Thrust Kick for the cover. We see a kick out at the two. Storm hits a lung blower, cover, Deaner up on the apron, referee runs over to him. Storm throws Young into him, roll through for yet another cover. gain a kick out at two. Next we watch as Storm gets kicked hard enough to send him all the way out to the floor. At this point we see the referee checking on Storm.
This leads to a brawl that breaks out among the other guys at ringside. We watch as Young grabs his helmet, but Harris notices and quickly yanks at Young’s leg. This causes Young to turn and he tries to hit Harris. Instead he takes a big punch, and we witness Harris as he throws him back in the ring. Finally we see a Superkick by Storm on Young for the cover and the three count pin and win!!
Winner: James Storm
