An injury caused an abrupt ending to the eight-man tag-team match tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw.
The show featured a VIP Room segment where Cedric Alexander revealed that he officially joined MVP’s stable. The Viking Raiders, Ricochet, and Apollo Crews ran down and they started an eight-man tag team match.
During the eight-man tag team match, Ivar of The Viking Raiders took a dive to the outside and he landed hard. He then threw up the X-sign / gesture himself as he was laid out on the floor at ringside.
Featured below is video footage of the segment:

The baby face team ended up losing even though Ricochet appeared to kick-out of the pin.
Following the match, they briefly showed Ivar as he was surrounded by WWE’s medical team. There was no immediate update on Ivar’s condition, although Michael Cole did say that it appeared he suffered an injury and the online reports making the rounds is that the belief backstage is that he may have suffered a stinger, which would be good news all things considered.
UPDATE: WWE has confirmed that Ivar of the Viking Raiders suffered an injury during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The company posted the following update via their Twitter feed and on the official company website.
“During the Eight-Man Tag Team Match on Monday Night Raw, Ivar suffered a cervical injury on a Viking Dive to the floor. As a precaution, Ivar was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.”
