Jake Roberts Appears On Prime Time With Sean Mooney Podcast

Jake “The Snake” Roberts Reveals How He’s Able To Work In AEW While Under WWE Legends Contract

Jake Roberts is currently contracted by AEW as a talent, but the Hall of Famer still appears in WWE games from his famed run there in the 1980s and 90s. How is this possible? The legend shed some light on the latest edition of his Snake Pit podcast.

Roberts explained that his WWE legends contract is still in tact, claiming that WWE wants to continue making money off of him. He adds that he informed both companies of his unique situation, and received blessing from both.

“Well, I’m special. It’s a situation where I’m going to work for AEW, and I’d like to keep my legends contract. I told AEW that I was going to try to keep it. They said, ‘Fine, do it.’ So when I went to WWE, I told them I was going to work for AEW, and they gave me their blessing. Let’s face it, they still want to make money off of me.”

Roberts served as the manager for Lance Archer since the Murderhawk Monster arrived in AEW in 2020. He’s remained a consistent presence on television ever since.
