Jason Jordan’s recovery from neck surgery continues to progress. While he is physically healthy, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Jordan is said to have trouble with his gripping power and/or his ability to make a fist and fully control his hand. This is a complication of the neck surgery and is the primary reason that WWE physicians have yet to clear him to return to the ring. He remains out indefinitely.
NXT wrestler Tino Sabbatelli also remains sidelined for an indefinite period of time after undergoing pectoral surgery in April. He hasn’t been cleared to return and may not make it to the ring anytime soon, so there was some discussion of giving him a look as a TV announcer.
