Jerry Lawler Comments on Brian Christopher’s Death & Funeral Arrangements

— Jerry “The King” Lawler spoke to the FOX affiliate in Memphis for the first time since his son, former wrestler Brian Christopher, passed away over the weekend. Lawler confirmed reports that he was out of the state in North Carolina but rushed back to be by Brian’s side before his death. He added that it wasn’t easy but said he was “glad to hold his son’s hand when his heart stopped beating around 3:30 p.m.”

— Funeral services were Christopher were announced and the visitation and service will be held Friday at Hope Church on Walnut Grove. The visitation starts at noon and the service will begin at 2 p.m.

— Lawler also commented on the ongoing investigation being conducted by the TBI and said that “there may be more to this than meets the eye.” According to sources, one of the pieces being investigated is why Christopher was in solitary confinement for almost a month, though the Sheriff’s department has already stated that he was placed in a cell by himself due to his celebrity-like status in the area.
