The rumors continue regarding Jim Ross signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Ross, who noted earlier this month that he will be parting ways with WWE once his current contract with the company expires in just over a week, has been rumored to be joining the fray at AEW for months.
Our pal Rajah Kumar (@RajahNews) at our affiliate website, Rajah.com, broke the news that Ross was expected to jump ship from WWE to AEW back in early January for a behind-the-scenes and on-camera role with AEW that would be starting in April.
With that now appearing to be the case following J.R.’s announcement that he is leaving WWE a couple of weeks ago on his “Ross Report” podcast, Ross appeared as a guest on ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” to talk about his current status.

“Good Ole’ J.R.” was asked if he will be joining AEW during the interview. He responded by saying, “I don’t know. We’re talking … we’re talking.”
The WWE Hall Of Famer added, “I just haven’t signed anything yet. My people and their people are doing their thing.”
Ross was also asked about his reason for leaving WWE on March 31st. He mentioned that WWE hasn’t been using him very much, and he still feels he has some “great years left” in him. He spoke about needing to get out of the house and feeling like he needs to be involved, on the road and around people.
