Jim Ross Talks To Steve Austin About AEW's Plans For Weekly TV Show On TNT

Jim Ross Reveals More Details About Plans For Weekly AEW On TNT TV Show

AEW play-by-play announcer Jim Ross recently shed some light on plans for the launch of the upcoming weekly All Elite Wrestling television show on TNT.

On the latest episode of the Steve Austin Show podcast, the legendary WWE Hall Of Famer spoke to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin about AEW’s upcoming television show on TNT.

During the interview, “Good Ole’ J.R.” predicted that the show would most likely be on Wednesday night due to the fact that TNT typically broadcasts NBA games on Tuesday nights.

“I’m not sure exactly the date,” said Ross. “I’ve heard two or three stories. It’s early October. I think it’s going to be on a Wednesday night, but that’s not been confirmed to me.”

J.R. continued, “Tuesday and Thursday are big basketball nights on TNT and we sure as hell don’t want to dance around the basketball schedule. Logically, by process of elimination, it looks like it’s going to be Wednesday.”

He concluded, “We’ll see.”

AEW has filed to trademarked the “Tuesday Night Dynamite” and “Wednesday Night Dynamite” terms / phrases during their trial process. An official night has yet to be confirmed by the promotion or the cable network for the launch of the weekly AEW on TNT TV show.
