Joe Hendry has signed a deal to officially join the Ring Of Honor (ROH) roster.
The announcement was made via a video that the “hottest free agent in the business” released via his official Twitter and Instagram pages.
ROH would go on to re-tweet the video on their official social media accounts as well.
The former IMPACT Wrestling performer noted in the video that he is coming to ROH and will soon become a World Champion.
Hendry, who parted ways with Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) after losing in a match where his career with the promotion was on-the-line against Leyton Buzzard at Shrug’s Hoose Party 6 in July, has previously wrestled for ROH at their shows in the United Kingdom in 2016 and 2018.
Hendry, 31, is a 6’2”, 229-pound pro wrestling veteran of six-years who got his start in the Scottish independent scene in 2013. “The Prestigious One” has even appeared on WWE television as a “Rosebud” during an Adam Rose segment in the past. He also appeared on-camera as a Russian character and worked a tryout match for WWE.
In addition to the tweets by Hendry and the official ROH Wrestling Twitter page, TK O’Ryan of The Kingdom also took to social media to comment on the aforementioned Hendry video announcing his ROH arrival.
“Listen, ROH, just make the match between me and him already,” wrote O’Ryan via his official Twitter page on Thursday evening. “We all know I’m the welcoming committee around here.”
O’Ryan continued, “Ask Rush, [Villain Enterprises] [and] the rest of em.”
He concluded, while directly tagging Joe Hendry’s official Twitter page, by writing, “You want to come to ROH? Allow the Horse to show you around the place.”
