As noted, John Cena recently gave the WWE stamp of approval to his fellow F9 co-stars Cardi B. and Vin Diesel, the latter of which he claimed “could literally be a WWE Champion tomorrow,” during a promotional interview for the new movie from “The Fast and the Furious” film franchise.
In the same interview, which was with Vice, the future WWE Hall of Fame legend was also asked how he feels another one of his Fast 9 co-stars would fare in WWE.
As far as his F9 co-star Tyrese Gibson, who portrays the character “Roman” in the film, Cena envisioned a “Roman (Reigns) vs. Roman” rivalry. Featured below is the excerpt from the interview where he makes his case.
“This one is fun. Tyrese could actually be Roman – he could harken back to the Roman Empire and he could be announced with trumpets, to a king’s welcome. Interestingly enough, there’s a character in WWE called Roman Reigns, so if we could take Tyrese’s Fast character and evolve it into a WWE personality, he has a built-in main event storyline with one of the most known superstars in WWE at the present time.”
