WWE superstar John Cena took to Twitter earlier today to announce that he will be matching the BTS Army’s donation to Black Lives Matter.
The former 16-time world champion writes, “Very happy to join #BTSARMY in efforts to match @BTS_twt tremendous donation #ARMYMatch1M.”
According to Variety, BTS gave roughly $1 million to the BLM movement, which has been organizing protests all around the United States in the name of George Floyd, who was killed two weeks ago by a Minneapolis police officer. It’s unclear as to how much money Cena himself donated, but the initial goal was surpassed.
