After their originally scheduled match fell through last year, Jon Moxley will be facing off against Josh Barnett at the Bloodsport III event taking place during WWE’s WrestleMania Week.
It was announced this week that the top AEW star and former UFC Heavyweight Champion will be squaring off at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport III show scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd at The Cuban Club in Tampa, Florida.
Originally, Moxley vs. Barnett was advertised to headline Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport II back in September of 2019, however Moxley had to be pulled from the show along with the AEW All Out when he came down with a MRSA infection in his elbow.
When the match was nixed, Moxley took to Twitter where he vowed that he and Barnett would end up locking horns before all was said-and-done.
“We’re gonna get this one back,” Moxley wrote in a tweet sent to “The Warmaster” back on August 23, 2019. “I didn’t set myself on fire for nothing.”
