Apparently pro wrestling legend Kamala had tested positive for Coronavirus days prior to his death.
As noted, on Sunday, WWE Alumni James “Kamala” Harris passed away at the age of 70.
Jason King of Bleacher Report, ESPN and other websites spoke to Harris’ wife, who noted that the wrestling legend was diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier in the week, likely due to his weekly visits to a facility for dialysis.
Harris ended up hospitalized after the diagnosis but was fine and in good spirits as late as Sunday morning before his condition rapidly deteriorated and he went into cardiac arrest before ultimately passing away.
For those who missed it, WWE released a statement on Kamala’s passing on Sunday evening.
Spoke w/ Kamala’s wife. He tested positive Wednesday for COVID which he likely contracted from one of his numerous weekly visits to the dialysis center. Was hospitalized Wednesday night & seemed fine & in good spirits this morning. Went into cardiac arrest & passed this afternoon
