Apparently the WWE Universe has "The World's Most Dangerous Man" to thank for tap outs being a thing in sports entertainment.

UFC and IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame legend Ken Shamrock took to social media on Thursday to point out that he was the reason tapping out became a trend during submission spots used in WWE, claiming they were not used prior to he joined the company after his legendary run in the early days of the Ultimate Fighting Championships in the United States and Pancrase in Japan.

"Before I entered the WWE, tapping out was not a thing," Shamrock exclaimed. "After I joined, tapping out became a big thing! FACT."

"The Human Suplex Machine" Taz would later chime in and respond to the tweet made by Shamrock, claiming he may have brought it to the world of pro wrestling first, but fully giving credit to "The World's Most Dangerous Man" for introducing it to the WWE audience around the same time.

"Hmmm, regarding WWE, you are correct," Taz responded. "Not sure who started doing it in wrestling first you or I, but it was close to the same time I think."

He concluded, "Hope you are well man!"

This brought a friendly Shamrock back to Twitter to post another comment on the thread in response to fellow submission-style pro wrestling legend Taz.

"Just speaking on WWE," Shamrock wrote. "I know you did your thing [and] I loved it. Stay strong my friend."
