Longtime WWE Executive Vice President (EVP) of Television Production, Kevin Dunn, recently spoke with the New York Post about the return of pyro and new, custom signature intros for RAW on the USA Network and Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
Joseph Staszewski of the NY Post recently spoke with WWE EVP of Television Production Kevin Dunn about the reports of the company introducing a new set, openings, logo/graphics and bringing back elements such as pyro to Raw and Smackdown beginning next week.
Dunn confirmed that all this would be happening. During the interview, he stated the following:
“We’re bringing back pyro to both shows, flames lasers. We’re rolling out completely new sets, openings logos, graphics, theme music for both Raw and SmackDown next week in WWE Premiere Week. For the first time ever we’re going to have dedicated writing teams, Raw led by Paul Heyman and SmackDown led by [Eric] Bischoff.”
