Kevin Owens Makes WWE Raw Debut On Monday

Kevin Owens Reflects On “Unforgettable” WWE Raw Debut Against John Cena In 2015

One-half of the main event of the year-end WWE TLC 2020 pay-per-view next Sunday night, Kevin Owens, recently took part in a special Q&A session with WWE India.

During his interview with the Indian-based official WWE media outlet, Owens reflected back on his main roster debut on the May 18, 2015 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

As Owens recalls, he was the NXT World Champion at the time and couldn’t have made a bigger impact on WWE’s main roster, as he emerged through the curtain as the surprise opponent responding to the latest of what was at the time a series of John Cena’s ongoing “United States Championship Open Challenges.”

“So that moment with John Cena is always gonna be something I remember very fondly because I wasn’t just making my debut on Raw, I was making my debut with the absolute top face of the company,” Owens said during the WWE India Q&A. “So, that was pretty incredible.”

“And it was, in a way, the beginning of my career on the main roster,” he added. “But I was already having such a special year up to that point.”

From there, he briefly listed some of the “firsts” he had experienced during his exciting introduction to the WWE and NXT Universe over five years ago.

“I had won the NXT Championship,” Owens said. “I had made my debut on live events for WWE and all that stuff. So, it just kept the ball rolling and it was a really huge moment, for me, for my family, for my career, everything.”

He concluded, “Unforgettable!”

Watch Kevin Owens challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship when WWE TLC 2020 touches down at the new-and-improved WWE ThunderDome II inside Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida next Sunday, December 20th, live via the WWE Network and on pay-per-view.
