Jaxson Ryker is not winning any behind-the-scenes popularity contests in WWE these days after alienating himself from the locker room after recently making controversial remarks on social media.
Chad Lail, who performs under the WWE character name Jaxson Ryker as part of The Forgotten Sons, recently raised a lot of eyebrows with a tweet in which he publicly supported Donald Trump.
Although WWE has an unwritten rule about talent not criticizing other talent on social media unless it’s for story line purposes or leading to a program, Ryker’s tweet “got a number of people very upset”, according to a report by Dave Meltzer in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com.
While he ruffled a lot of feathers backstage, one source noted that he can’t or wouldn’t be fired for simply expressing his freedom of speech.
It still remains, however, that the locker room is “fuming” at him with WWE Superstars such as Kevin Owens, Mustafa Ali, Sami Zayn, Ricochet and even his own tag team partners in The Forgotten Sons — Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler — either flat out criticized his stance or in the case of Blake and Cutler, distanced themselves from him because of it.
We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates regarding Jaxson Ryker continues to surface!
