Following months of speculation, Killer Kross and IMPACT Wrestling have finally parted ways, and it looks more likely than ever that Kross will soon be joining real-life girlfriend Scarlett Bordeaux in the world of WWE.
The official IMPACT Wrestling website issued the following basic statement confirming the news:
“IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross).”
Kross and Impact have been at a standoff since the spring when Kross requested his release. The company did not grant it though they haven’t used him since July after he lost a match to Eddie Edwards at their IMPACT Slammiversary pay-per-view.
Kross’ contract was reported to be expiring at the end of this month anyway though there was a company option to tack on another year.
With Kross now a free agent, attention naturally turns to WWE as he would be someone that they would be interested (and no doubt several other promotions as well).
Furthermore, WWE has recently added Scarlett Bordeaux to their roster and Bordeaux and Kross are currently in a relationship.
