Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston earned each others respect as men after their grueling battle on Monday evening.

… but not before taking some lumps in the process.

As seen on Monday Night Raw this week, “The Scottish Warrior” defeated the New Day member to earn a shot at the WWE Championship at the upcoming WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 pay-per-view.

After the bout, both WWE Superstars took to their respective social media outlets to show mutual respect to each other.

“Congrats, Drew McIntyre,” wrote Kingston via Twitter after their physical showdown on the weekly red brand show on the USA Network from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

He continued, admitting that the former WWE Champion is deserving of his shot at the title in the match with Bobby Lashley at the upcoming WWE Hell In A Cell 2021 pay-per-view, which he earned with his victory on Monday Night Raw this week.

“You earned it,” he wrote. “Respect.”

Always willing to be mutually respectful to those who deserve it, McIntyre wasted no time chiming in on his own Twitter feed to respond to fellow former title-holder and longtime WWE veteran.

“Thank you brother,” he wrote as a reply to the aforementioned Kingston tweet, which included a photo of the two shaking hands in an additional sign of mutual respect immediately after their hard-hitting match on Monday night.
