Kurt Angle Shares His Thoughts On Paul Wight Signing With AEW

As many of us know by now, former WWE Superstar The Big Show, AKA Paul Wight, is “all elite”. During his The Kurt Angle Show Podcast, WWE Hall of Fame member, and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle shared his thoughts on the former Big Show signing with AEW. Like many people in the wrestling world, from fans to people within the business, Kurt spoke about the subject, and how surprised he is by the signing. The former WWE Champion said:

“Yes. I always thought that Paul would be with the WWE for the rest of his life. I mean, they treat him really well. They did a lot for Big Show. You know, when he quit and went to be a boxer, you know, he lost a bunch of money, and Vince helped him out a little bit and got him back in the game”.

The man who won an Olympic Gold Medal “with a broken freakin neck” also spoke about the loyalty that lies between Vince McMahon and Paul Wight. Wight made his WWE debut during a steel cage match between Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin, at the 1999 St. Valentines Day Massacre event. Wight remained a member of the WWE Universe until this year, with his last appearance coming as recently as the Raw “Legends Night” event. When talking about the relationship between Vince and Wight, Angle mentioned:

“There are a lot of things that occurred that, you know, Vince McMahon showed his loyalty to Big Show, and Big Show showed it back, no doubt about it.”
