Finn Balor recently had an interesting response that he shared via social media after watching a video that Kyle O’Reilly posted via Twitter shortly after WWE announced that The Undisputed ERA member will be the third of five total participants competing in the brand new NXT Gauntlet Eliminator match that will ultimately decide the next challenger to the NXT World Championship.
On Saturday afternoon, O’Reilly shared a video via his official Twitter feed where he spoke about being aware of the fact that he is unproven as a singles wrestler, calling the NXT Gauntlet Eliminator the biggest challenge of his career and pointing out his understanding of the fact that he needs to make the most out of this opportunity.
He did go on to note that if he wins and goes on to challenge Balor for the NXT World Championship, that the reigning title-holder of the WWE black-and-gold brand will have a storm brought on him that he will not be able to weather.
This prompted the NXT World Champion to take to his own Twitter page to offer his response to the video released by O’Reilly.
“In my book you are proven,” Balor said when referencing O’Reilly’s claim to be an unproven singles performer. “It’s not an ‘if’ it’s very much a ‘when’ you face Finn Balor, and when we do face, the only thing you will miss is having a partner to tag when your getting chewed up.”
