Cain Velasquez was spotted at the WWE Performance Center this week, training for his match next week in Mexico City.
As noted, Velasquez hasn’t been the most popular talent with WWE management after debuting with the company only to immediately need knee surgery, which significantly affected WWE’s plans for Crown Jewel, which he was heavily featured on.
Velasquez, who has only wrestled once for WWE and three times in total including other promotions, is said to be struggling with significant knee issues as well and was booked, then taken off and then re-added to the card in Mexico City.
He is scheduled to team up with Humberto Carrillo to take on The O.C. – Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows – in tag-team action at the WWE Mexico City live event.
We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates continue to surface regarding Cain Velasquez’s WWE status.
