Latest On Status Of WWE’s Upcoming Events In Saudi Arabia Amid Political Conflict

The status of WWE’s upcoming premium live events in Saudi Arabia has been a topic of speculation recently due to significant unrest in the Middle East. The next event, Crown Jewel, is scheduled for Saturday, November 7. WWE also plans to hold WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh in April, but the exact date has yet to be announced.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s potential plans for both events as tensions in the region escalate.

He noted that despite a travel advisory issued by the U.S. State Department, both shows are expected to proceed as planned for now. Meltzer indicated that Crown Jewel and WrestleMania 43 could generate revenues of $60 million and $100 million, respectively, so unless the situation becomes too dangerous, WWE intends to go ahead with the events.

Meltzer also indicated that while WWE is preparing backup plans for unforeseen circumstances, the company will wait until the last possible moment to announce any changes in venue. Regarding recent rumors about Las Vegas being considered as a backup location for WrestleMania 43, Meltzer confirmed that local authorities have ruled this out due to a lack of available dates in April 2027.
