– As it has become clear over the last two weeks, WWE is aiming for the run-time for Monday Night Raw on Netflix to be approximately 2.5 hours, which would be the “sweet spot” that Paul Levesque had previously alluded to, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Because there is no “hard out” as there is with linear cable TV, that run-time is fluid and if segments run long (as they did a couple weeks ago with Penta’s debut), the show will stream longer without any fear of getting abruptly pulled off the air.
– The Observer also reported that the plan for WWE Smackdown looks to be to remain at three hours through WrestleMania and into the May-June time frame at which time, it would likely revert to two hours. The feeling internally is apparently that the extra from now until the spring is necessary to build storylines into WrestleMania.
