As previously reported, WWE released several NXT, LFG, and ID talents late last week. Among those released were Wes Lee, Stevie Turner, Lance Anoa’i, and others. Additionally, Zayda Steel announced that she will not be renewing her contract, while Ridge Holland revealed that his WWE contract would not be renewed.
In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers, it was confirmed that the recent round of talent cuts is complete. The report also mentioned that, although turnover will continue as WWE works with its developmental program and new talent recruits are on the way, the bulk of the releases has finished for now.
Following the departures of several ID and LFG talents, including Kylie Rae, Jin Tala, Summer Sorrell, BJ Ray, and Jamar Hampton, WWE announced during Wednesday’s episode of EVOLVE that the next WWE ID class will be revealed soon. Holland’s exit reportedly caused disappointment among talent, particularly because his deal was allowed to expire while he was injured during a match.
