As previously reported, WWE star Drew McIntyre recently visited WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, to promote the company’s new venture into micro-dramas, also known as verticals. He will be collaborating with former rival Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry. Filming for this project was completed not long ago.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McIntyre is expected to return “soon” now that most of his acting commitments have concluded. However, a specific date for his return to WWE programming is still unknown.
McIntyre hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 42, where he lost an Unsanctioned Match to Fatu. During his time away, he has been focused on acting projects, including roles in The Last Druid and the Highlander reboot.
Recently, McIntyre shared a photo of his body transformation on his Twitter (X) account amidst reports of his impending return to WWE. He posted a side-by-side comparison of his physique from January and October.
