WWE & AEW Affected By Florida COVID-19 Travel Advisory

Latest U.S. Travel Ban Could Very Negatively Affect WWE & AEW Running TV Shoots In Florida

Three northeastern states – New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have issued travel advisories for any of their residents who are returning from COVID-19 hot spot states, requiring them to isolate/quarantine for 14 days.

The advisory applies to “anyone coming from a state with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a 7-day rolling average or a state with a 10% or higher positive rate over a seven-day rolling average”, according to a joint announcement from the governors of the three states.

With WWE and AEW holding all their events in Florida, which is considered one of the states with a high positive rate, that could very likely lead to many performers and staff from those three states being forced to quarantine between TV shoots if they choose to return home.

Not only are many wrestling personalities living in one of those three states, but WWE headquarters are in Connecticut and the company also has a significant presence in New York.

There is no word on if either wrestling promotion will look for an exception or if they will attempt some sort of workaround by flying in and out of a neighboring state like Pennsylvania before heading onto their final destinations.
