Mark Henry Talks To Sports Illustrated

Mark Henry’s AEW Contract Reportedly Expiring This Month

— Former WWE world champion Mark Henry, who joined AEW in May of 2021, is set to see his three-year contract expire soon.

— Internet reports indicate that Henry’s deal with AEW is coming up for expiration at the end of the month, after he originally debuted for the company back in May 2021 at Double or Nothing. Since joining AEW, Henry has worked in a multitude of roles including as an analyst, coach, mentor and scout while also conducting backstage interviews on-screen on AEW Rampage.

— While still involved behind the scenes, Henry hasn’t actually wrestled in AEW and last stepped in the ring for WWE at the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018 and hasn’t wrestled in a singles match since 2017. Despite this lengthy inactivity, Henry has thrown out the idea of returning to the ring for one final match, but it’s unclear when, how or if it will even happen.
