Matty Wahlberg Comments On WWE Changing His Name To Grayson Waller Ahead Of His 205 Live Debut Tonight

A new name will be debuting on tonight’s purple brand program from WWE.

As noted, WWE has announced Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari vs. Ari Sterling & Asher Hale, as well as Sunil Singh vs. Grayson Waller for tonight’s edition of WWE 205 Live.

The weekly Cruiserweight show, which streams live via the WWE Network on Peacock immediately following the WWE Friday Night SmackDown live broadcast on FOX, will feature the debut on the program for the aforementioned Waller, who himself will be debuting a new ring name and character.

Waller, real name Matt Farelly, previously wrestled as “The 21st Century Success Story” Matty Wahlberg for the company after being brought in as a highly-touted Australian prospect in the WWE Performance Center Class from April 2021, which also included the likes of Sarray, Sanjana George, Jennifer Michell Cantu Iglesias, Stephanie De Landre (Steph De Lander) and coach Hideki Suzuki.

The former Wahlberg took to his official Grayson Waller WWE Twitter account ahead of his WWE 205 Live debut this evening to comment on his big upcoming debut.

“New name, but the attitude is the same,” wrote Waller. “WWE 205 Live this Friday (Saturday in Australia).”
