Mauro Ranallo And Snoop Dogg On Commentary For Tyson Vs. Jones Exhibition Fight

As seen on Saturday night, Mike Tyson returned to the boxing ring during an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. Who else would you expect on commentary other than… Snoop Dogg and Mauro Ranallo?

The exhibition fight took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California where the 49-year-old rapper was invited to commentate on the hyped bout between the two legendary boxers – but as the clash spilled into eight rounds, ending in a draw, it was Snoop who stole the show.

Earlier In The Evening

The undercard fight of the event was YouTuber Jake Paul who moved to 2-0 (two KO’s) as he took out ex-NBA player, Nate Robinson. Snoop, who referred to the contest as a “hood fight”, sprung into life when Paul put Robinson down hard with a right hand in the second round.

“Ohhh my GAWD!” yelled Snoop, speaking for a nation. “Lord have mercy! Oh Jesus!”

Mauro Ranallo cried out with his infamous, “Mama Mia!,” then added, “Snoop, talk about droppin’ it like it’s hott!”

However Snoop wasn’t listening, he was too busy giving it everything with some incredible choral singing. “Take my hand, lead me home, let me stand…” Snoop sang as Robinson – possibly inspired by Snoop’s singing – managed to get to his feet.

Main Event Time

Then it was time for the main event! Lighting up on stage before the fight, Snoop performed for the crowd before disappearing backstage to join Mauro Ranallo in throwing in witty one liners throughout the night.

“This is like two of my uncles fighting at the barbeque!,” said Snoop with the fight barely 30 seconds old, “Grandma, they out there fighting again!”

The fight went all eight two-minute rounds and ended in a draw but Tyson clearly won the fight with body shots and there were no official judges deciding the actual winner. Following the fight, both fighters said they were okay with the draw and Tyson wanted to run it back.
