The Robert Stone Brand has grown in size by one following the addition of a new member to the group on this week’s edition of WWE NXT.
During Wednesday night’s episode of NXT On USA, Aliyah — a member of The Robert Stone Brand — lost a match to Shotzi Blackheart. After turning down a recent offer to join the group, Blackheart added insult to injury by not only defeating Aliyah after declining their offer, but she also ran her mini-tank over the leg of Stone.
Following the match, Mercedes Martinez came out of nowhere to attack Blackheart, leaving the NXT Superstar laid out moments after her victory over Aliyah.
Later in the show, Martinez approaches Stone backstage and ultimately agrees to join The Robert Stone Brand.
Martinez informed Stone that she needs someone to set up big matches for her, handle the contracts for her career and all of the other “crap she doesn’t care about” outside of the ring to enable her the ability to focus on what she does best — hurt people inside the ring.
She would warn Stone, who was still selling his leg injury after having it run over by Blackheart’s mini-tank, that if he ever oversteps his boundries with her, she will “permanently break both of his legs.”
The two would go on to seal the deal with a handshake, while Aliyah watches on with glee.
After this week’s NXT On USA show, Martinez and Stone took to social media to comment on their new alliance, sounding off on Twitter where the rising contender in the current WWE NXT women’s division reiterated her warning to Stone about “respecting boundries.”
“RESPECT the boundaries Robert Stone…. And our partnership will reach the highest levels of GOLD!!!,” Martinez wrote via Twitter after this week’s edition of NXT On USA.
Upon seeing the tweet, Stone chimed in with a simple and to-the-point response.
“DONE,” Stone wrote. “Now can ya follow me?”
Martinez agreed — for the time being.
“I will….for now,” she replied.
