Mercedes Martinez is #AllElite.
The former NXT Superstar made a surprise debut on the AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash special event on Wednesday night at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.
Martinez debuted as a mystery attacker in a hood and a mask, blasting Thunder Rosa in the closing moments of her semifinal showdown against Jade Cargill in the TBS Women’s Championship Tournament.
The attack led to Cargill pulling off the victory and advancing to the finals where she will square off against Ruby Soho to determine the first-ever TBS Women’s Champion.
AEW President Tony Khan surfaced on social media following her surprise debut appearance and confirmed that Mercedes Martinez is, in fact, #AllElite.
“Welcome to AEW, Mercedes Martinez,” wrote Khan via his official Twitter page immediately after her surprise debut appearance. “Mercedes Martinez is #AllElite.”
