— Former WWE star Mickie James has joined NWA, as she appeared on last night’s episode of Power alongside owner Billy Corgan. The pair announced that James will be producing an all-women’s PPV set to air on Saturday, August 28 though no name for the event was revealed. Another PPV will air the night after on August 29 and it will be called NWA 73, which will be themed as an anniversary show and a tribute to the original home of the NWA as well as promoter Sam Muchnick.
— James appeared on Power and said that producing an all-women’s event was something at the top of her list for years but that she was denied it at every opportunity, presumably suggesting that WWE was not into her idea. James didn’t announce whether she herself would be wrestling on the show.
