Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for Oct. 3, 2022

Matches Tonight: Seven (approx. 70 minutes)
  • Tag Match: Rey Mysterio & AJ Styles vs the Judgment Day. The Judgment Day picked up the win after Rhea/Dom distracted Rey. This frustrated Styles with Rey, leading to Styles shoving Rey and Rey walking off as the Judgment Day beat down Styles four-on-one. 8:11-8:27pm EST.
  • United States Championship Singles Match: Bobby Lashley(c) vs Mustafa Ali. Ali debuted a more aggressive style, more resilient, and dreads. Ali lost but looked good in the loss, proving to be more scrappy than the champ realized. After the match, Seth Rollins attacked both men for the lulz. 8:42-8:53pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Candice LeRae vs Dakota Kai w/ Damage CTRL. Kai picked up the win after Bayley and Sky interfered. Solid match. 9:20-9:31pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Otis w/ Chad Gable & Austin Theory vs Johnny Gargano. Otis won after Theory used the MitB case to attack Gargano when the ref was distracted by Chad Gable. 9:41-9:47pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Chad Gable vs Braun Strowman. Three of the five and a half minutes were commercial break. Gable dominated the bit televised until Strowman won with the Powerbomb at the end. 9:48-9:54pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Angelo Dawkins w/ Montez Ford vs Solo Sikoa w/ the Bloodline. Solo Sikoa dominated for the most part and picked up the win. 10:18-10:31pm EST.
  • Singles Main Event Match: Alexa Bliss vs Iyo Sky. Sky picked up the win. Damage CTRL beat Bliss and Belair post-match. 10:47-10:55pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Doom & Gloom: We opened with a lengthy, drab promo from the Judgment Day as Finn threatened to end Edge’s career, yet again, in their “I Quit” match at Extreme Rules. 8:02-8:10pm EST.
  • Contract Signing: Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair sat down with Damage CTRL’s Bayley to sign the contract for this weekend’s match. Both bashed each other verbally, signed contracts, and wasted eight minutes of my life I can never get back. 10:03-10:11pm EST.
  • White Rabbit QR Code: We see Candice LeRae walking backstage when “technical difficulties” distort the screen and briefly display a QR code which takes you to: If you look at the 1’s and 0’s in the url, that’s binary and spells out GACY. Here’s the binary translator to check it out yourself, just punch in: 01000111 01000001 01000011 01011001
  • Next Week on Raw: Roman Reigns & the Bloodline return to Raw; the fall-out of Extreme Rules; the official season premiere of Raw; and DX’s 25th anniversary show, featuring HBK, Triple H, X-Pac and “Road Dog” Jesse James. Also, Johnny Gargano takes on Austin Theory.
  • Extreme Rules is THIS Saturday: Daniel Cormier will be the special referee for the Fight Pit match between Rollins and Riddle. Who did what, blah blah.
